Skincare for oily skin routine

Skincare for oily skin, products ingredient by skin type. How do you build a routine for oily skin?

Why do we get oily skin?

We get oily skin because we have oil glands. Besides, Everything we have in our skin has a purpose and our oil glands are no exception so we have multiple different types of glands in our skin.

Some of them make pheromones and then some other glands the sebaceous glands are made up of a combination of fatty substances.

The sebaceous glands create the oil on our skin primarily and that’s also what functionally protects our skin but leaves some people a bit more dewy than they would like.

Foaming cleansers tend to remove oils better and look for cleansers that have salicylic acid.

Moreover, If you don’t have acne you probably don’t need a high concentration of salicylic acid or a small concentration of salicylic acid like 0.5% salicylic acid.

Last

So, people have sebaceous glands that produce oil and then some things influence you to produce more oil. One of these things is genetics so that’s obliviously hard to control.

The other piece of it is hormones which is a lot of times why you see acne flare during the menstrual cycle during puberty because that increased hormonal influence on the sebaceous glands causes more oil production which leads to oilier skin and also leads to an increased risk of acne.

Oil serves a purpose so the things that are in the sebaceous glands are familiar things triglycerides squalling which is similar to squalling that we find in skin care products and wax esters all this has a beneficial role in protecting our skin.
